বাসক পাতার গুণাগুণ

বাসক পাতার বৈজ্ঞানিক নাম
আডাটোডা বাসিকা,
এর গুণাগুণ লেখতে গেলে
হয়ে যাবে পুস্তিকা।
এ উদ্ভিদের পাতা, ফুল ,ফল
হোক তরতাজা বা শুকনো,
বিফল হয় না নানা প্রকার
রোগ নির্মূলে কখনো।
ক্ষারীয় এক পদার্থ এর
নামটি হলো ভাসিসিন,
এর ঔষধি তেলটিও নয়
কোনো কালে মূল্যহীন।
বাসক পাতার নির্যাসে হয়
সর্দি, কাশ, জ্বর নিরাময়,
তাইতো গাঁয়ে এ পাতাটির
গুণের থাকে নিত্য জয়।
এর ক্ষারীয় পদার্থ যা
ছত্রাক করে বাধাদান,
মোড়ক করলে এ পাতাতে
পোকা ধরার নেই টেনশান।
বাসক পাতার দু চা চামচ
রস নিয়ে তার ভেতরে,
এক চা-চামচ মধু দিয়ে
খেলে শিশুর কাশ সরে।
বিশটি পাতা থেঁতো করে
দু কাপ জলে ফুটিয়ে,
ইষৎ উষ্ণ করবে ওই জল
এক কাপ থাকতে নামিয়ে।
কুলকুচি ওই জলে করলে
পাইরিয়া রোগ থাকবে না,
এবং দাঁতের মাড়ি ফুলার
শূল কখনো আসবে না।
গোসলের আধ ঘন্টা আগে
বাসক পাতার রস মাথায়,
কয়েকটা দিন মাখে যদি
উকুন সবই মরে যায়।
আমবাত এবং ব্রণশোথে এ
পাতা বেটে প্রলেপ দিন,
থাকবে না আর ব্যাথা ফোলা
প্রয়োগ করলে কয়েক দিন।
যদি বুকে কফ জমে যায়
তার জন্যে শ্বাস কষ্ট হয়,
দু চামচ এর রসে সম
মধু মিশে খেতে হয়।
সাথে আরো কন্টিকারির
দু চামচ রস মিক্স হলে,
অল্পক্ষণে জমাটবাঁধা
বুকের কফ সব যায় গলে।
বেটে নিয়ে বাসকের ফুল
দুই চা চামচ পরিমাণ,
মিশিয়ে দু চামচ মিছরি
কয়েকটা দিন করেন পান।
সেই পাবে ফল প্রস্রাব করতে
জ্বালা করে যে লোকের,
প্রভুর কৃপায় নিরাময়টা
হতে বাধ্য এ রোগের।
জ্বর হলে বা অল্প জ্বরে
পাঁচ বা দশ গ্রাম বাসকমূল,
ফুটান ১০০ মি.লি. জলে
যেনো এতে হয় না ভুল।
পঁচিশ মি.লি. থাকতে এ জল
নামিয়ে তা ছেঁকে নিন,
রোগমুক্তিটা পাবেন খেলে
দুবার করে দুয়েক দিন।
এক চা চামচ মধুসহ
দু চামচ রস এ পাতার,
খেলে নিত্য জণ্ডিস রুগী
থাকবে না তার জণ্ডিস আর।
শুকনো বাসক পাতা পুড়ে
বিড়ির মত করলে পান,
শীঘ্রই লাগব হয়ে যাবে
শ্বাস রোগীদের শ্বাসের টান।
গরমকালে লোকের গায়ে
ঘামের গন্ধ খুব হলে,
বাসকের রস মাখলে দেহে
দুর্গন্ধ সব যায় চলে।
কচি পাতা দশ বারোটি
আর এক টুকরা নিন হলুদ,
বেঁটে কয়দিন লাগান দাদে
দেখবেন এ কী মহৌষধ।
যে নর এবং নারীর গায়ের
রঙ মোটেও ফর্সা নয়,
সঙ্খচূর্ণ মিশ্রিত এর
রস মাখলে রঙ ফর্সা হয়।
চার ঘন্টা চার বাসক পাতা
জল এক কলসির ভেতরে,
রাখলে তবে ওই কলসির জল
দূষণমুক্ত দেয় করে।
যে সমস্ত লোকের কাছে
খিঁচুনি রোগ আছে ভাই,
বাসক পাতার রস তাদেরকে
নিয়মিত খাওয়ান চাই।

বাড়ান বাসক গাছের চাষ,
এ প্রস্তাবটি ভুলবেন না কেউ
বাংলায় যারা করেন বাস।l

THE USEFULNESS OF THE BASHOK LEAF

'Adatoda Basica' is the name of
Bashok's leaf
It will be a booklet to write its
Usefulness in brief.
The leaf, flowers and fruits of this tree
dried or fresh either
Fail to cure sort of complicated
Diseases never.
It contains Basicin which isৃৃৃৃ
An acidic substance.
And also a herbal oil which has
No less importance.
The extract of the Bashak leaf cureৃঋs
Cough, cold and fever.
So its merits in the country side
Remain ever conquer.
Its acidic substance always prevents
Fungus from getting,
And Insects can not harm if this leaves
Is used for rapping.
Taking two spoonful juice of it with
One spoonful honey,
Must be curative of cough of the Jill
And the sonny.
Contuse twenty leaves and boil them
In two cups of water,
when the water becomes one cup
Get down it from the fire.
If you gargle with this water, pyorrhoea
Won't affect your teeth,
And saving your gum from oemeda is
Its another feat.
Before half an hour of bath, rub this
Leaf's juice on the head,
And this use for some days must kill
The mice on the head dead.
Crushing the leave poultice in areola
And urticarias,
Use it a few days and get relieve
Of the diseases.
Taking two spoonful juice of its leave
With equal honey must,
Cure dry cold, congestion if lungs
And asthma so fast.
You can also add two spoonful
Juice of conticurry.
To have magic remedy of disease
In a hurry.
Crush the Bashok flower to take
Two spoonful juice only,
And make candy sherbet with it
To drink so tastefully.
The man having a great pain
During the urination,
Can drink this sherbet a few days
For recuperation.
In hundred ml. water, boil ten gram
Bashok root well,
Get down it when it decreases to
Twenty five ml.
Filter it and take it twice a day
If you have fever,
And you will find that it will remove
Your fever sooner.
One tea spoonful honey with two
Tea spoonful juice of it,
Take everyday to see how it goes
Against Jaundice to beat.
If you smoke of the dried leaf
Of Bashok like the Biri,
your lungs, from all respiration problems,
Will remain free.
The juice of the Bashok's leave removes
The ill smell of sweat,
When the skin of your whole body is
Smeared smoothly with it.
Crush twelve tender Bashok leaves
With a piece of turmeric,
And smear it on the ringworm of which
Healing will be quick.
If the complexion of your body
Is not fair really,
Smear its juice with shell lime on the skin
To make it lovely.
keeping four leaves for four hours
in a jar of water,
Makes the water pure and it can be
drunk without fear.
The man who has spasm, should drink
The juice of Bashok leaf,
And it will assist to make him from
His disease relief.
The Bashok leaf is a useful leaf
Which is known to all,
So, my proposal is to cultivate Bashok
More in Bengal.
